Wild roses are being investigated as a food capable of reducing the incidence of cancer, also halting or reversing growth of cancer, they help control blood pressure, and are good for the heart. Rose is a mild diuretic and tea can be drank in large amounts to flush the urinary tract. There are 100’s of species of wild roses. She is an old soul, having been around for 35 million years. She is the Queen of flowers, thorned protectress, opens the heart and refreshes the soul.
With a dear friend I once touring the Napa Valley. He had put us two hours behind schedule and I was irritated. In a rush to maintain our time frame I completely overlooked the multitude of roses growing with wild abandon. I had to kick myself hard as I heard my friend say, “Come smell the roses….they are divine!”
Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!!! We also carry dried red rose petals at the Kneading Hands Shop.
